Dr. Shane JC's Wholesomeness Model (c)(sm):

How is it going on today?  Here's a candid, yet deeply resonating question to ask of you.  In fact, it can and will radically transform even resuscitate every aspect of your being, if you permit!

Let's begin: What are the "eight dimensions of wholesomeness"?
Did you know?  The term or notion of wellness espouses the notion of being in good health (?).

Incidentally, a broad plethora of psychologists, mental health practitioners, holistic practitioners describe as existing at/in a place of physical, mental, and emotional vitality.

In short, all things are perceived as being in-place and without things being broken.

Perhaps, you are familiar with this timeless and so often mystifying notion? In essence, to be #well is nothing more than being #grounded and #soundlyrooted.

Sounded and rooted one might therefore ask? Yes, the most basic, however efficacious translation is to have a [strong] and unwavering [foundation] underpinned with the character pillars of self/other appreciation, self/other awareness, self/other esteem, as well as identity, and respect, to name but a few.

In the Classic English, the term "wellness" is rooted in "well·ness" (pronounced ˈwel-nəs).  It is the quality or state of being in good health -- i.e., mentally, physically, emotionally, intellectually, and spiritually -- particularly as a sought-after goal contextualization (1).

Cassell's New Compact (Latin) Dictionary states that the term "well" is in the adjective sense the root 'savus' or "to be"! In the adverb sense the root(s) are a. 'bene' or "very" as in an extraordinary amount, and b. 'optime' or "it is" (2).

The renowned Global Wellness Institute states that the entire notion of wellness has ancient roots. However, as a modern concept, wellness -- i.e., one step short of wholesomeness, has gained currency momentum during the 1950s, 1960s, and 1970s.

As it pertains unto the ((writings and leadership)) of an atypical and unconventional physicians and thinkers’ network -- i.e., in the United States -- largely molded the way wellness is today both conceptualized and explored.

[Beginning of Part 2.]
The root or origin(s) of wellness, however, are far older—even ancient.

Aspects of the wellness concept are rooted in a double handful of intellectual, religious, and most notably medical movements which gained momentum with significance during the Pre-modern Era of the United States and the European nations (i.e., circa 1800 - 1899).

Historically, the rudimentary wellness tenets and philosophical pillars are to be traced as far back as the ancient civilizations of Asia, Greece, and Rome (2).

The National Wellness Institute (NWI) defines wellness as, "an active process through which people become aware of, and make choices toward a more #successful existence." (3)

Did you catch that? An apparent albeit inconspicuous or subtle link between wellness and success.

The question therefore might become, which one promulgated the other (e.g., 2-dimensional perspective)! Or perhaps better yet, the question is, are success and wellness in actuality both sides of the very same coin (e.g., 3-dimensional perspective)? In brief, it is my expert opinion that these two merely are interdependent as such do coexist.

Now arriving full circle to the main theme of this posting, there do/does exist eight (i.e., 7 + 1) dimensions/aspects of wholesome-ness. Do note, you will find a diagram that illustrates how all of these dimensions are seamed together at the central wellness notion.

The first dimension is called "Spiritual Wholesomeness."
The second dimension is called "Emotional Wholesomeness."
The third dimension is called "Intellectual Wholesomeness."
The fourth dimension is called "Social Wholesomeness."
The fifth dimension is called "Physical Wholesomeness."
The sixth dimension is called "Vocational Wholesomeness."
The seventh dimension is called "Economic Wholesomeness."

To the point, in order to design and develop such a world that is more altruistic and empathetic, it is imperative to shift our collective and individual way(s) of thinking with a greater emphasis/prioritization on the core needs of individuals all whom make-up the collective unit/body.

Notably, not as meager human beings but as potential positive contributors to a society that is to flourish -- i.e., healthy, vibrant, prosperous, and wholesome.

See you over there, in part 3.
[End of Part 2.]

[Beginning of part 3.]

Timeless takeaway pointe: To radically shift the world's broad, however multifarious socio-paradigms (i.e., refer to the diagram), one simple and provocative human-centered design [notion, initiative, holistically PRAXIS paradigm] at-a-time."

.

Who knows, perhaps time and opportunity will only validate therefore confirming that the collective whole -- i.e., communal body, of society is only as healthy as that of each individual -- i.e., wholesome, not-so-wholesome, and on the road to wholesomeness, all who make up the vital community framework. Applicable unto, but of course, our local, regional, national, and global contextualization(s).

.

A wise person quipped that any entity is only as strong -- healthy, vital, prosperous, and wholesome, as its weakest link. The apparent obvious notion, right!

[End of part 3.]

[[Part 4 begins.]
Many of you have even asked, what is a sound interpretation, translation for this notion of "Imposter Syndrome?" So, deeply energized that you've asked!

Know this, the central pillar is the conceptualization of an unreal self (i.e., aka "superficial veneer") methodically put together to project a false often unseen fragile self-image.

At the core, this unusual character is subconsciously wounded therefore then decided to employ massive action to erect a false sense-edifice of self.

Rationale Behind This: it is in order to mask-up the pain and instead replace it with a type of artificial-strength that is brittle also unpredictable.

In a nutshell, it is these types of personas that one often has to walk on eggshells so as to not set-off in a manner that is less-than-civilized. Makes sense? Good!

On the other hand, to clearly ((understand)) what a [healthy] and [wholesome] self-identity looks like, it is most important to revisit the root of the matter as applied to this one or that one. Follow me? Nice! Let's proceed.
Expected Outcome for Taking this Plunge: To mature up and propel up-and-into his / her fullest potential.

The inevitable -- short-term and long-term result is to connect with oneself at a deeper, richer, and most vibrant-level.
Note: It is here at this <<vital juncture>> that anyone is prepared to truly connect and relate-to others.

Vital Questions: 1. When was the last time you had a conversation, and I mean a real conversation with someone? What this pertains to; 2. do you recall seeing that another person on the receiving end as that one is and not as they appear(?) to be.

Perhaps, this is the very "answer" for the prevalent problems of our times. So, the most important question of all becomes, "who are You?".
1. Do you #know yourself?
2. Do you #understand yourself?
3. What #motivates you to arise each and every day pressing-on towards your life -- personal and professional goals and objectives?

Conclusive Takeaways to Reflect hereon:
a. iPause.
b. iAscertain.
c. iElicit.
d. iCollaborate.
e. iReflect.
f. iIterate.
g. iServe.

Thank you for your time and undivided attention.

Have a productive mid-week!
